Ack!  I'll admit I haven't been drawing anything new lately ;-; It's like I have a spur of inspiration and draw every day for a month and then I exhaust myself and don't draw again for like... idk... 5 years.  Ugh.  I really wish I could get back into drawing and then stick with it.  Truth is, I'm really bored with myself.  I just look to the internet for refuge from my incessant boredom.  Drawing can bring a sort of escape, but the fact of the matter is that it's drained too quickly.  Any tips for re-energizing my spirits / recharging my artistic batteries?  I'd love to draw more... but I'm also too quick to get down on myself about not bein

I really think I'm making strides with my art.  Like a few days ago, I hadn't drawn anything in MONTHS.  MONTHS.  But here I am now drawing so much in a span of only a day, really.  This is super exciting for me to get back into my past interest / passion in art.  Even in such a short amount of time, it's evident that I've grown as an artist and perhaps improved.  I've adopted in a new art style (not ditching my Disney art style!  Just adding to the family!!). It's a really good feeling to work so hard on a new piece of art with a new artistic style and actually be proud of how it ends up. I worked so dang hard on that fan art for Monsterkin

So just today I downloaded Paint Tool Sai onto my Surface Pro 4.  A special Surface Pro pen came with my SP, but unfortunately, Paint Tool Sai doesn't acknowledge pen tip pressure for it... :/ Other than that, it's just hard to get used to a digital art program again. I have Photoshop CS2 on my desktop, but I never use it to draw.  I use it for editing/enhancing purposes and creating text-based art. I remembered how I really liked Paint tool Sai when I was younger, so I'm definitely happy to have it again! If drawing ON my SP4 fails, I can always connect my tablet and use PTS that way, I guess?? It's kind of exciting to get back into art
